Suru Peak–Budislavu Peak–Avrig Glacial Lake (return)

Join us for a truly memorable mountain experience at Suru Chalet!

We hike through the forest up to the chalet, arriving just in time for a stunning sunset that bathes the surrounding valleys in warm light and deep silence. The evening is spent high in the mountains, sharing good vibes, stories, and fresh alpine air.

On the second day, we set off toward the ridge, crossing glacial cirques and enjoying breathtaking views. We reach Avrig Glacial Lake, a deep blue mirror nestled among rocky slopes, then descend at a relaxed pace. We return refreshed, clear-minded, and smiling.

Day 1: Avrig Valley – Suru Chalet

Total experience time: 4 hours
Optional: After reaching the chalet, we can continue higher up for an even more spectacular sunset

Day 2: Suru Chalet – Suru Peak – Budislavu Peak – Avrig Gate – Avrig Glacial Lake – Suru Chalet (out-and-back / semi-loop) – Avrig Valley
Route difficulty: difficult (due to the long distance)
Distance: 18–22 km
Elevation gain: 1,350 m
Hiking time: 8–9 hours
Total experience time: 10–11 hours
Optional: The group may choose to stop at Avrig Gate and skip the descent to Avrig Glacial Lake, resulting in a shorter route.
If the group is moving well, we may collectively decide to climb additional nearby peaks.
